Coach Steve Beaglehole will take charge of a strong squad on Monday night when Crewe Alexandra visit King Power Stadium in the Professional Development League.
Five regular members of Nigel Pearson’s first team squad have been included in the group, as several of the Club’s senior pros top up their match minutes at the start of the international break.

Zak Whitbread, Matty James, Paul Gallagher, Jeff Schlupp and Conrad Logan have all been named in Monday night’s 16-man squad, joining young professionals such as Tom Hopper, George Taft and Jacob Blyth for what should be an entertaining night on Filbert Way.

Primarily in place for Under-21s, Development League fixtures allow for the involvement of up to three over-age players plus an over age goalkeeper.

Tonight's game is open to the public and kicks off at 7pm. Admission, payable on the turnstile, is priced £3 for Adults, £1 for Under-18s and free for accompanied Under-8s.

Do unaccompanied under-8s have to pay full price?

I'd imagine they would fall under the 'Under-18s' category what with 8 being a lower a number than 18. :102:

On topic though, would have been half tempted to go with that squad playing if I didn't have to go repair a puncture on my car!

I'd imagine that unaccompanied under 8s would be turned away...

I'm glad to see the reserves/young players getting more opportunities to impress and play in competitive matches.

Continuing with the on topic replies, I thankfully don't currently have any punctures on my car

From the wording of that it suggests unaccompanied under-8s would be allowed in, but would have to pay a fee of some sort. I agree they probably wouldn't want them on their own anyway and any parent that lets their under-8 go to a football match on their own should be shot, but from the wording of that statement, it is definitely open to interpretation.

Back on track though, definitely a good thing this 'rebadge it' malarky with the reserves. Sounds like a very cometitive team which is why I would be tempted to go and the competitiveness can only be a good thing for the young players on the fringes of the squad or looking to break in.
