Amartey and a crocked Evans in defence... has Rodgers been reading posts on TB that anything would be better and taking them too seriously??

7-0 to them

I think he's gone back to 'how do I best get iheanacho and vardy on the pitch without leaving the back door open".
Good side IMO.
Everyone said vest and Bertrand were off pace = they are out.
He wants options to go at them / go for broke if needs be= he's got lookman and barnes for final 30mins
He's got no ndidi = he goes three at the back.

All very logical to me.

Fingers crossed Evans survives and plays well.

I'm happy with that side, I think it's a really good move.

Gets Vardy and Nacho on the pitch together.

Provides extra defensive cover with a back 3 and Amartey's energy in the backline to help cover for the missing Ndidi (forgot he'd miss this!) and means less running for Evans.

Ricardo and Castagne can strengthen the defence but also have the room to get forwards.

I think it's a decent side in that it strengthens the defence AND gets our two best attacking players on the pitch together.

Apart fdrom being nervous about Amartey I'm ok with that. We need to focus on attack today since we can't defend worth a shit.

They can't either so going for it seems logical. Shame he couldn't get Lookman in though as an attacking option. Maddison needs to step up today.
