I was about to post this:

Yes, don't think many managers of a decent quality would have been too keen to take on the task that faces Puel. He deserves our support and backing that's why I found a lot of the comments in the West Ham match thread so lacking in understanding of the situation that faces Puel in trying to manage fairly gradual change in selection and getting the team to play more possession football in the knowledge that there is no quick fix.
The comments in the West Ham thread were hysterical overreaction.

The players individually are the most under scrutiny at the moment, not the manager.

The hanger-on brigade who disgraced themselves in this fixture last season better put absolutely everything on the line tonight.

It would be nice if Fuchs, Mahrez, Ndidi and Vardy played to the actual level they are capable of for once.

Seems the new Gaffer already has the measure of some of them.

The left hand side looks very vulnerable with Mahrez and Chilwell.

Kalechi is the new Musa

The game was grim though. If that's what's needed to keep us up then so be it, hopefully some more entertaining stuff happens once we've had a couple transfer windows.

Which means Albrighton playing on his worst side.

He won the league on that side.

Albrighton is the least of our worries, it's the ones who are actually supposed to be good at football but don't really pull it off thats the problem.

Fuchs is away due to the birth of his daughter

My dream that our manager had some bollocks has just been destroyed.

Still, Chilwell at left back against these is truly horrifying.

That’s pretty much most of them.

Anyway. Time to leave the warmth of my car and head off for a cuppa at the ground.

COYF.

They're all a bunch of shit ****s.

That about covers the opinion on this forum now so may as well close this and not bother with the match or post match threads.

Can’t believe Amartey isn’t in for the dog shit Simpson. Puel out.

I really like that side. About our best I reckon.

Let's hope Chilwell takes the role with both hands.

Big bollocks on him dropping Nacho (if he's indeed dropped).
