for the love of God Brendan learn these basic lessons.

1) Maddison on the wing NEVER works
2) Wilf and Mendy together NEVER works
3) You are allowed to make 5 subs, so USE them

Kasper

Justin Evans Soyuncu Chilwell

Ndidi

Praet Tielemans

Gray Vardy Barnes

As much as he should after the last 2 games, he won't drop Maddison.

Schmeichel
Justin
Soyuncu
Evans
Fuchs
Gray
Ndidi
Maddison
Chilwell
Iheanacho
Vardy

If we have to play Chilwell then at least let's get a proper defender behind him.

4) Never EVER start a game with Demarai Gray
lack of options, unless one of the young right backs can play on the wing? or and U23 winger is training with them, I read Josh Eppiah had started training with them the other day but he's a striker

Where has the intensity gone?
Earlier on in the season we had 4, 5 or 6 players in the box on most attacks.
Now, JV, has time to make a cuppa whilst he awaits the cavalry.

Dare I say it, all very pedestrian [nearly said Puelball]

I hope Chelsea are in a similar situations to ourselves. That is, players seemingly lacking in desire. The cliche goes something like the winner is the one 'who wants it more'. I think we might be rewording that; the winners being the team with someone, anyone who remotely gives a shit.

Don't want to be negative in a cup game but having watched them and us over the last few weeks they should murder us.

It's a cunningly disguised bluff innit, to lull Chelsea into that false sense of security. We'll rip into 'em with a coupe de Clodagh master plan.

Or not and they'll murder us.

When we were at our best earlier in the season, the team was settled into a 4-3-3 formation. Of the regular starters, only Ricardo is unavailable so this really should pick itself:
Schmeichel
Justin Evans Soyuncu Chilwell
Tielemans Maddison Ndidi
Perez Vardy Barnes

It's only been two matches since the restart, so I'm not panicing yet, but we should go back to what we're best at. In the last two matches Grey has been the only player to show an improvement over previous form, so I'd considering him too.
