Lovell + 2?

one must be a left back

And i suspect we are still after O'Brien (MB's clue- iron in the fire. iron/obrien)

but we still also seem keen on Gerrbrand the CB!

Might get them all if Canero/Wright are sold
 
Report on SSN said we were trying to get a CB and LB within the next week. It also showed some very tired looking players on Beacon Hill...Johansson collapsed when he'd finished running!
 
I'm hoping that 3 is not including Lovell (as in 3 more + Lovell ;)). Would be nice.

Burton O'Brien, a CB and a LB. Even though the only positions we really need now are CB and LB, it would be nice to have O'Brien, as he is supposed to be pretty good, and he's extremely versatile. Can play on the left or centre of midfield, and has played at left back and upfront for Livingston this season. Just what we need in a small squad :)
 
Totally agree, with a small squad it is imperative we have palyers who are versatile, the positive aspect of this is that these players are of excellent ability and quality as well, usually veratile players tend to be pretty mediocre but at present we appear to have signed players of genuine talent and ability.
 
if the 3 include lovell then its him plus gerrbrand and o'brien. if it doesn't then it will be gerrbrand o'brien and timpano?
 
so which one's the left back then?
personally I don't see O'Brien coming as well as Lovell...the need is for a proper left back.....

MB says we are still trying to make it happen. :) :) ;)
 
We definately need another Centre Back and we are desperate for a left back, and this is regardless of whether we sign somebody capable of playing both, IMO we need to sign 2 defenders. If we do sign a 3rd player, if it is not deemed to be Lovell then I personally think we need somebody capable of playing wide right and wide left to provide competition for places, if Canero leaves we have little or no cover for Sylla on the right and we need somebody to provide a different option, not sure if O'Brien fits that bill but I am pretty sure I have read somewhere that he is pretty versatile and play anywhere across midfield.

I'm sure he has good reasons, but staying in the Scottish League Division One seems to be a strange and dare I say unambitious move. He's not scottish is he?
