Re: The annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded Winter 2012/13 rumours thread

Good move providing we have him on a 24hr recall as we aren't blessed with fully fit defenders.

Possibly a little surprised he hasn't featured more after his early season promise but definitely a good thing to get him out on loan as playing more is only going to benefit him which should, in turn, benefit us.

Agreed. Loan time would be good for him, but if someone got injured, particularly RDL, we might need him.

Isn't Pearson Jr. a defender? He can cover if needed, surely!

St Ledger has also played at right back a few times.

Sky Sports understands Leicester defender Liam Moore is set for a loan spell at League One side Brentford.

The 20-year-old, who can play at right-back or centre-back, has made 14 senior appearances for the Foxes this season.

But Moore, who spent time on loan at Bradford in 2011, will be sent out again to the tier below to gain more regular first-team experience.

The youngster, capped once at England Under-21 level, was linked with several Premier League clubs in the summer, including Manchester United.

Brentford will hope he can boost their promotion push in League One this season.

They've taken Bradley Wright-Phillips on loan from Charlton today too.

Cup money seems to have boosted their transfer kitty! Thought Schlupp might go back there too, but not if they've signed BWP I guess.

I cannot see how we are in a position to be loaning defenders out?

Unless Nigel wants to make us as weak and paper thin at right back as we are on the left.

That's not allowed in the first month, except for goalkeepers.

Pearson seems to think so. I wasn't aware of the rule you mentioned but Pearson made reference to having 'a short recall' due to his age so it seems we wouldn't have to ask for the clause, but one that is included for players under a particular age? :102:

If Pearson said that he is wrong. As Moore is 20, he will be on a 'Youth Loan'. The difference between that and an ordinary 'Emergency Loan' of an older player relates mainly to his having to continue his education programme and his being able to continue to play for parent club academy and reserve teams. There is no difference in terms of the ability to recall.

53.3.9 Emergency Loans and Youth Loans involving goalkeepers (but not otherwise) may be subject to a recall clause within the first 28 days.

Well let's hope someone rings Pearson and explains the rules before we find ourselves as short on the right as we are on the left.

Konchesky can go on making as many goal resulting mistakes as he likes, he has not one person pushing him for his place, good stuff.

Meanwhile we have Schlupp of training with Man u for some reason. They've had him for 5 weeks or so, make a decision!

He quite clearly is not in our plans, If he was he would be back here pushing a very out of of form Konchesky for his place in the team.
