Well played to the journalist for getting 'firm grip' and 'column inches' into the article as well! :038:

It cost £14,000 to create, but clearly no-one at the smart London design outfit that came up with the new logo for HM Treasury thought to turn it on its side.

Logo embarrassment at OGC causes office sniggers
The logo, as it was meant to be seen, rather than at a 90 degree angle

The logo, for the Office of Government Commerce, was intended to signify a bold commitment to the body’s aim of “improving value for money by driving up standards and capability in procurement”.

Irony alert

Have people forgotten how much the London 2012 logo cost, this is bargin in comparison!

£14 000 is absolutely **** all for something like this, they should be congratulated at getting such an amusing logo so cheaply.

It's not the cost of drawing it. It's the cost of getting highly paid 'creative' people to sit around thinking about it, coming up with ideas and then consulting a focus group to find out which is the silliest.

A civil service group I do some work for have just spent considerably more than £14k on a 'blue sky room' for that very purpose.

how much did council tax go up this year?
