We are arranging a party for my Dad's 60th and really want to get a good live band in that do popular covers from the 60's-2000's. Obviously done some internet searched but anyones recommendations would be great.

Suprosongly expensive, about a grand for the night for something decent.

There is a Ska band out of loughborough that are class for this sort of thing, i seen them at some dudes 40th, they played for about 4 hours solid and it was tunes from 60's thru to now all done with a ska twist. can't remember the name but they were apparently about 500 quid and that was 2 year ago.

Ska-mania, Skamanga.....somethin like that.

I know a group called Stone Park - play various venues around the city, most recently the old Saracens Head (name escapes me at the mo) - play a good mix of music, 60s onwards...could try and get the number if you are interested

I do covers, mainly stuff like the Worzels and Arcade Fire though.
