According to the foxes trust a loan signing is on the cards now in order to solve are gaping hole up front...

Rumours afoot is that it could be Morrison from brum...

heard rumours on other sites that Pongolle from 'pool could be on his way, but I doubt that...

Personally would love to see Neil Mellor here... He's barely had a look in at pool since that wonder strike against Arsenal last season, with Morientes and Crouch having signed surely his chances are even more limited... Plus he nearly signed for the blades last season...

Just hope we get someone in pronto!

BLUE ARMY!

I can't see us loaning a premier league striker unless it's a youngster.

MDV and Connelly are first choice, and if we were bringing in some one like morrison he would expect to be in the team.

i think we'll get a league 1 or below type player.

gaping hole :003:

Don't really care about any of these players. Would rather Nugent from Preston, but can't see that happening!

I cant see us getting anywhere near getting clinton morrison!

Mellor would be alright but again I cant see it happening.

My own personal view is that we wont sign anyone and the current 3 plus O'Grady,Sylla and Wright as back up.

I reckon we may even try playing Hughes behind the front man in some games thus incorparating Williams and Hughes.

Really Highland? You got sources on this one?

Hmmm, interesting, that would be good I think.

Lets just hope his source isnt Cainy or Zandy off the football rumours website, if it is then it's more likely we will sign Michael Owen !

Steve Bruce was on Sky Sports news today saying he has wanted four quality strikers at the club and now has that in Pandiani, Heskey, Forsell and Morrison. Can't see him getting to that position and then loaning one out.

This has just been posted by GT Fox on another forum....

'The latest is that we are trying to sign on loan: (to get options on the bench before Saturday I assume)

Andrew Barrowman, age 21 from Birmingham City.
A product of Rangers academy has represented Scotland at all youth levels. Spent some of last season on loan at Crewe.
Made premiership debut as sub against City in March 2004'.

I'd just like to add that the last two 'rumours' that GT Fox has posted have not materialised. Doesn't mean its not true though...

Profile

Barrowman is a Scottish youth international on the books of Birmingham City.
He earned his first taste of professional football in October 2003 when he was loaned to Crewe Alexandra for a month. His debut came in a 2-2 draw at home to Bradford City, and he scored in his next match - a 3-0 home win over Derby County.

Barrowman played a total of four game for the Alex.

Gillingham did show an interest in the player before he was handed a squad number by Birmingham in January 2004.

He was handed his Premiership debut in March 2004, replacing Kenny Cunningham for the final three minutes of the 1-0 home defeat by Leicester City.

He was awarded a new two-year contract in the summer of 2004, and was loaned out to Blackpool for the opening three months of the 2004/05 campaign.

But Barrowman stunned Blackpool boss Colin Hendry by walking out of his three-month loan after just two weeks.

'Andrew came to see me and said he didn't want to be here anymore and wanted to go back to Birmingham,' said Hendry. 'There was no point in keeping a player here who wasn't happy.

'More importantly he didn't have the fight, like the rest of the lads here at the minute, and he didn't show the right attitude - it's disappointing and it shocked me, but that's football for you,' Hendry told the club's official website.

Barrowman made his Blackpool debut as a substitute against Sheffield Wednesday and came off the bench again in the home defeat to Stockport County.

He was again out on loan at the start of March in 2005, joining Mansfield Town where he made his debut in a 1-1 draw at home to Shrewsbury Town.

Doesn't sound that promising. Not that I believe the rumour anyway.

the same Gt fox who said connolly was off.... BOLLOCKS

Again I just cant see it. Why loan a totally unproven player? You may as well just play our kids rather than training up another clubs.
