On this performance weve got a long way to go, especially frst half when they had the upper hand. However heres my ratings:-
Douglas 6 - never liked Rab dont think i ever will, however he has lost a lot of weight , at least he now looks the part. Made one decent save first half, not really tested.
Stearman 6 - started at right back but swapped positions with Maybury a lot during the game. Won a few defensive headers from corners.
Kenton 7 - played centre back first half, looked comfortable on the ball and lquick to stop any potential danger.
McCarthy 7 - what he had to do he did well (as normal), pleased he has got the captains armband fulltime.
Nils 6 - did ok for an hour or so, tried to get forward but his lack of pace will cost us against better opposition.
Gerrbrand 6 - played right back when he came on, , steady, very able versatile defender.
Sheehan 6 - on for Nils near the end never got forward, but defensively ok
McAuley 7 - on for Kenton and looked the part, reminded me a little of Elliott, i think he will start against Luton
Maybury 6 - as Stearman, ok when were defending but didnt offer much going forward.
Johnson 7 - played deeper of the two central midfielders, always available, played it simple, did ok but i think he will get better.
Williams 6- plyed full game (but only because Weso isnt fit, although he was having a kick about at half time), will need to improve to stay in the team.
Hughes 7 came on for AJ did well, at least wanted the ball and moved it forward when he got it, worth a go alongside AJ.
Tiatto 5 - our problem postion now for sure, hes not the man to fill it. His performance can be summed up with a glorious chance he had, 10 yards out in the middle, no keeper, kicked the ball out of the ground!!
Low 7 - played wide right midfield when he came on, a lot more positive going forward than Maybury, looked promising.
Porter 6 - came on for Tiatto, looked lively but i dont think quite ready yet for regular spot.
Fryatt 6 - out of sorts we improved when he went off
Hume 6 - as Fryatt
Hammond 7 - did well when he came on, lively and pleased he got a goal.
OGrady 8 - this lad wants a first team place, and made an immediate impact when he came on, if he keeps improving he will be difficult to leave out.
In summary, crap match, but we deserved the narrow victory, pleased with all the new boys and COGs all action display. Left midfield needs sorting RK!
