Just read front of mercury. It seems a man wearing a City shirt has been found dead in the canal right next to the stadium this morning.
Very grim!

Any background info?. Name, beer, attack?. Appears very sad

No it said very little info on mercury. he was found by someone in the rowing club.very sad though.

any more info on this? it's extremely sad if it is true and maybe a min silence should be held on sat against preston. it's hard to imagine going to see one of the most important things in your life that makes you so happy only to die afterwards. awful and full respects to who evers the persons family is.

Hold on guys, before we go calling for a minutes silence and all that shit and hype that surrounds these events, lets get the facts first. As I said above this "appears" sad, and if it is genuine, then I agree and feel for the guys friends and familiy.

However, if it turns out to a "Gary Glitter" type figure in the water after some poor parents revenge, or a Palace fan who attacked a Leicester fan, nicked his shirt and got blinding drunk and fell in, or a suicide attempt then we have all wasted a very important emotion.

Get the facts first, if it's innocent, I will be the first calling for a minutes silence. A true fan dying at a game, is one of the few justifiable reasons for a minutes silence, and agreed is very, very sad

You really are all heart Melton....you think somebody taking their own life deserves no pity?

Do you think that somebody who achieves their goal and target and gets exactly what they want deserves pity?

The people I have respect for are the ones who go to the edge, and pull themselves back (physical and metaphorical). This is probably not suicide, so discussing the rights and wrongs of suicide is not what this thread was about

You are right this isn't what this Thread is about but nontheless I disagree with you and I'll leave it at that.

I was worried for a bit.
I'll bet you was, please pass on my relief to your friends and family. I am sure they were all worried there for a while too
