I'm sure I was one of many Leicester fans stood on the platform at London Bridge waiting for the train to Charlton, who we're surprised/shocked to see Milan Mandaric and his entourage waiting for the very same train!! After about 10-15mins of deliberating whether to confront him for a photo, I decided if I don't ask I don't get, so off i set down the carriage to where he was stood. He was more than happy to spare a minute for a photo and a brief chat, and the conversation was along the lines of; me "Didn't expect to see you on the train to Charlton", MM "Did you expect me to drive to the game in a Bentley?", me "Yeah pretty much haha", MM's son "He's a fan too you know", me "It's good to see". I know I could've asked more constructive questions like why the hell did you bring in Gary Megson or I could've continued the conversation further by asking "seeing as you're a fan too, I suppose you'll be sitting in the stands with the rest of us?" but in the heat of the moment I decided to just enjoy the rare occasion of meeting the millionaire owner of my favourite football club. :)

Why were you surprised to see him there? It has often been reported on these pages that he travels by train to matches.

If you had a conversation with him on the train, you can't have been too far from me. I also had a conversation with him during the journey but he and I have signed a confidentiality clause so I'm afraid that I can't tell you what we talked about. Nottingham Fox wasn't too far away either.

But the train motion would have caused your hand to shake thus making your signature unrecognisable and therefore invalid.

So what was the gist of what you discussed then................

...

Not likely after what Martin Allen did in his Bentley

Taking the train to a match.

Does this mean he's skint, like I always knew hew was careful with his dosh. ;)

It simply means that he doesn't feel the need to hide himself away. Quite a refreshing aspect compared with others in a similar position IMO.
