Mansfield Town have tonight confirmed that their friendly fixture against Leicester City at Filed Mill has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

City supporters are reminded that their game against Notts County at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday, July 21 goes ahead as planned.

I left it as late as I could before leaving for the match, and checked all the sites before leaving, to make sure it was still on. Then I put Radio Leicester on in the car just in case it was off.

It took Radio Leicester until 6:05 before mentioning it in their sports news.

The idiots could have said something as soon as the news came through, rather than giving everyone an extra half an hour on the M1

I checked Mansfield's official site at 5:40 and it said it was still on. They're as bad as ours.

Still doesn't explain why RL didn't mention it between sports bulletins though, they mentioned LCFC a couple of times while I was listening to it, they ought to have realised people would be listening while driving to the match.

I am surprised that so many were looking forward to the Mansfield game, did no one notice that out of all the new signings the only one included in the squad was Nielson.
