Every manager he's played under here has always trusted him to do a job. Must be something in that.

I love that we're keeping him around. A real pro, and a great influence around the squad I'm sure.

He's never our stand out. But he's very rarely a flop either. He's always the player that we - and each new manager - looks at and thinks we can probably improve on, and yet we keep coming back to him. He does make an impact, and it's rare you get anything less than a 6/10 from him.

He will just do what is asked of him.

I've said it before, but he's our James Milner.

Good to keep him around, and glad we aren't saying goodbye to a member of the title winning squad just yet.

An LCFC legend. Great news.

I'm surprised it's three years. He's not had masses of time on the pitch as it is, and this is only likely to decline as the club develops and he naturally declines at the age he is

I still wonder what the issue was with Pearson not playing him for the first three quarters of that first season.

Having a player of his quality and professionalism who is happy to sit on the bench and fill in wherever needed is a boon. One of my absolute favourite Leicester players and I'm happy he is staying with us.

I think it's the Ethos of the club we did the same for Morgan, James and Fuchs it sends a message out that we look after our players which makes it a good environment to be in

It essentially sees him through to retirement, I imagine he is in on (relatively) sensible wages, he is a good influence, and still making valuable contributions.

As Payne74 stated we look after our players, especially ones that have been so influential in our success, which I am happy with, but even without the sentiment, he is still a useful player to have around.

He’s one of the immortals, and can have as long a contract as he wants - whether he plays or not

He can sit in a corner wanking for three years for all I care
I'd much prefer him to have an executive box for that type of thing. It'd create a right mess for the rest of the fans.

BN won't like this.

I'm fine with it. If we always just made cold business decisions, it wouldn't be good. This is an example of us doing something that makes sense for off the pitch reasons.

I did always suspect that the Burnley talk was just his agent trying to turn a two year deal into a three year one. I also suspect that by his third year, he'll be nowhere near the first team. If Albrighton was that bothered about playing regularly, he'd have moved on a year or two ago.
