Cudos to the fella. That puts a new light on things and how the media constantly distort the truth. Mandy always came across as a bit of a dictator and if what MA says is true then I'm glad Mandaric is long gone. MA only here for the money though. How often that rings true now.

The fact he was supposedly only here for the money says more about him as a person and his desire to succeed at the higher levels of the game.

No wonder he's managing in the basement of professional football

What a load of self serving rubbish!

Milan always made it clear that Martin Allen was sacked for non-football reasons.

A friend who worked at Belvoir Drive as a cleaner had an account that was completely different. I cannot be specific because of the laws of libel. The clash was between respectable laundry ladies and Martin Allen. The cleaner claimed that Martin Allen was the most unpleasant man he had ever known while Ian Holloway was one of the nicest.

It is difficult to imagine what effect Martin Allen would have had on the King Power corporate image. What would Vichai or Mrs Whelan* have made of his language.,

* I am not sure whether it is Mrs Whelan or Miss Whelan; I refuse to use Ms.

So Allen left, but I'm certain the work shadowing scheme continued under the "nice" Ollie. The team that played against Sheff Wed the following April looked pretty much like all laundry ladies to me.

I'm fascinated by his denial that he had players clean toilets. Some of you may have attended the open training session at the stadium, during which Allen was interviewed and specifically made reference to DJ Campbell cleaning a toilet.

I'm surprised he thinks we dominated the games against Blackpool and Palace, since we did nothing of the sort, but considering he seems to also believe the Palace game ended 1-1 and is unsure whether we'd scored at Forest it's perhaps not so surprising.

The man is either a liar or he has an atrocious memory. Or more likely both.

If Martin Allen told me what day tomorrow was I would check the calendar twice.

He's a ****in loon and (according to my cousin who played under him) an absolute **** of the highest order. I'd not believe a word that crazy cat says.

Maybe the other alleged influences addled his brain...

Is there a transcript of the interview or have I got to wait for you lot to drip feed all the juicy bits? I haven't got time to listen to the whole thing.

Adds nothing new. We all knew Mad Mandy signed loads of crap players on the advice of shitehawk agents - he did that even when Kelly was manager and continued to do so until we were relegated. And as to why Allen was sacked - Allen's version is no more convincing than the stories kicked around at the time.

Why do you refuse to use Ms? Why do you think a woman's marital status should matter when addressing her?

"...because I was still living in a hotel at the time..."

I don't care what you call your sordid little grief hole.

It's strange how people hear things differently. At no point did I hear him offer a reason.

It seemed to me that he said it was because he wouldn't play Mandaric's signings and that the tipping point was not playing the second half at Forest.
