3 in 4 from him now - could this be the shrewdest signing of Levein's reign? What an amazing return from him.....The striker we've been missing since Dickov left IMO.

Just got back from the game, he played very well although I'm not convinced Hume and Fryatt are the ideal partnership.

What impressed me about him was his movement, he's always on the shoulder of the last defender looking for a break but also when he gets it he rarely gives it away and usually gets something positive out of his possession.

The next Stan Collymore (just keep him away from La Manga)

...and Swedish TV presenters

Great start for the lad, but soon as the big fish come sniffing he'll be gone. Our financial position will ensure that we won't be able to keep him.:icon_conf

Agree with everything you say there Dunc on todays performance.

What he very slightly lacks in pace (acceleration rather than pace, he's fast but not a sudden burner) he more than makes up for in positional sense. The lad is always THERE. That's what we've needed. He's a godsend. Yes, he's a Lineker.
Brilliant.
PS - Rab Douglas played a much better game today, Wes can easily replace Joey when he leaves, and why oh why oh why have we only just now seen the best of Kisnorbo? He's a natural centre back, and the midfield is now full of midfielders. What a great game! Not pretty, Wolves were pulling and shoving to stay in it, but you know what - I GOT MY HOPE BACK!!!!
Oh Leicester I love you!

Long time no post. :icon_eek: :icon_conf :icon_conf I think we've all got some hope back. :icon_bigg ;)

i said to my mate on the way back from the ground that i really have my passion back for the footy. i thought the players were absoluley brill today, but i also believe this was 25% due to the crowd being top notch. what a great effort from the fans today, brilliant. i also do not believe someone can just come in and take fryatt, we paid enough for him for me to think we dont ned to sell him if that makes sense. and a final note, i know the goal was extremely close range, but that is what we have been begging for all season.

Yeah, I've been in Liverpool looking after my mad abusive mother. And now have 6 books to write since I came back.
Some Fate thing said I should be in Leicester, and wouldn't let me sell my flat and move on. Damn.
So I have to abide by its decision.
Ho hum. Got my Season Ticket back, and I'm here. Wrote 60k-word book in the last 4 weeks, so maybe Fate is right?
It would be good to earn money, though.
Whatever. At least Adam on the Merc is glad I'm back!

Always good to see an old skool poster. :icon_wink ;)

Fryatt looks a real player, and I actually believe that his partnership with Hume could develop into something similar to Lineker / Beardsley and Rush / Dalglish, they need time to bed in.

What really impresses me with Fryatt is his work rate, he made things happen today, turned lost causes into corners /throw ins, and best of all he scores scruffy tap ins, something we have been missing for a long while. Definately reminds me of Lineker.

Not just 3 in 4, but 3 in 3 starts I think?? His first appearance was as sub, right?

It's 3 in 4. He played the first 70 minutes at Plymouth and didn't score.
