Apparently he has flu which kept him out of the ROI game, hope he's ok for tomorrow, dont fancy Stearman out of position or even worse Makin!

Hopefully our players can recover as quick as Ipswich strikers can!!

I remember young Ashton playing last season and having a mare.

Ashton looked terrified at Portman Road - it was truly an amazing 2nd half that...

I used to occasionally send half time reports to the LCFC maiing list, from my mobile phone.
I stopped doing this because every time I did it we ended up having an awful second half.

My last ever half time report was from the Ipswich game two seasons ago - here it is:

We started brilliantly, Ipswich couldn't get hold of the ball as we pushed
forward looking for goals. Muzzy was having a great game, he had three dazzling runs, two ending in shots on goal, the third was ended by a foul. Sadly he went off injured, replaced by Oakes. In addition to Muzzy, Scowcroft and Deane had good efforts in the early stages.

After 20 minutes Taggart went off injured, replaced by Ashton. I've said it
before and no doubt I'll say it again, but I just don't think Ashton is good
enough at this level. I'd like to see Lyth given a place in the squad to see
what he could do. Within two minutes of coming on Ashton allowed an Ipswich player to waltz past him to create their first chance of the match. A couple of minutes later Ashton handled in the area (ball to hand?) and Walker was forcecd to make his first save of the season. A few minutes before half time he made his second, a briliant reaction save from point blank range. He could do nothing about the injury time opener from Ipswich, a result of Ashton heading the ball into the path of an Ipswich forward.
Immediately we went forward again, and Stevo (on for Summerbee) picked the ball up outside the area, created some space for a shot. The keeper should have saved it but it slipped through his hands into the net.
Jordan Stewart is playing in midfield and he's having a great game, covering every blade of grass.
