2 Years ago, we needed a win at Stoke, McAuley hitting the bar, Hume so close. Was wondering who is now happy we got relagted, because with the side we had there was no way we would of been in the postion we are today without getting relagated. Niglel i foooooooookin love you :038:

No not happy in the slightest, in fact I'm distraught.

I have a mental image of a drooling imbecile scrawling messages on a wall using crayon, these messages are then posted on the Internet by an eight year old with ADHD, who's been eating Smarties

It's a matter of record. I avoid wasting too much wondering and worrying about things which can not now be changed.

Well. it's a point of view.

1. Getting relegated meant we lost our record of being the only Midlands club never
to have played below the second level. Not a fantastic claim to fame, but I wish we could still make it.

2. As Dany N'Guessan slotted home the winner on Day 1 I thought - how the feck did we end up in Div 1 in the first place?

3. As I look at Ollie and DJ breathing up our arses, I thunk - would Ollie have signed Charlie Adam instead of Robbie Neilson?

There are more questions than answers.

1. What would have happened if Steve Claridge's volley at Wembley hadn't gone in?

2. What would have happened if Len Chalmers hadn't been injured in the 61 cup final?

3. What would have happened if some Wyggeston school graduates hadn't gotten together in 1884?

4. What would have happened if the universe hadn't exploded into a singularity about 13.7 billion years ago?

My only comment on this, the only thing I could say to respond, is:

It hit the outside of the post, didn't it?

I think Jas123 has a point, im not amazed with the response he has got though.

In order to take a step forward, sometimes you need to take two back.

Look at teams like Newcastle & Norwich. I can gurantee they will be strong in their respective Divisions next year. Its about regaining a winning mentality.

With the squad we had and the possibility that Holloway would have kept his job, nobody can say that we would be any better off than 5th place.
