Here is the line up of nominations:
· Antony and the Johnsons - I Am A Bird Now
· Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
· Coldplay - X&Y
· The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike
· Hard-Fi - Stars of CCTV
· KT Tunstall - Eye to the Telescope
· Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
· The Magic Numbers - The Magic Numbers
· Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger
· M.I.A. - Arular
· Polar Bear - Held on the Tips of Fingers
· Seth Lakeman - Kitty Jay
I'd go for either Maximo Park or Bloc Party. Not a strong line up in my opinion. Anthony and the Johnsons seem to be getting a lot of exposure but then again, freaks always do. M.I.A. is just some chav wench, KT Tunstall is pap, Hard-Fi are very average. Magic Numbers could win it, the favourites (or 2nd favourites depending on what you read) Kaiser Chiefs can't win it really, if they do it'll be quite incredible - I hope me mates give me 1% of the prize. Coldplay won't win - too obvious, Polar Bear are not yet a band which deserve such an accolade (note the word 'yet'), Seth Lakeman, hmmmm, rank outsider but stranger things have happened and that leaves the Go! Team who, if they had the ability to play their instruments, would have a chance but alas they don't so no chance.
Who do you think will win?
