Leeds set to sign Ricketts

Leeds United look set to land Michael Ricketts from Middlesbrough, although it remains to be seen if it will be as part of the deal that takes Mark Viduka to Boro.
Ricketts has arrived at Elland Road for a medical at the Division One club, and is expected to seal a three-year deal although a fee has not yet been finalised.
It is widely expected that Viduka will complete a move in the opposite direction, and Ricketts will be used in any deal for the Australian striker - who has already opened contract talks with Boro.
Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell, who must be resigned to losing star man Viduka, will be delighted to land a player who has proven his quality in the past.
Ricketts even earned an England call-up after a fine spell with Bolton Wanderers that saw him help lift them into The Premiership and then lead the top-flight scoring charts at Christmas 2001.
Rickets scored 24 times the last time he played in Division One and will be confident that he can forge a partnership with Julian Joachim or Danny Cadamarteri at Elland Road.
Now I aint being funny but whatever Leeds can afford we can match too. Fair enough he'll be offered to them as part of Viduka deal, but Leeds need every penny they can get so it's not like they could turn down an extra million and take Ricketts. We should wade in, he is a class player with age on his side. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
