Listened to it at work off the BBC website.

he said that Tommy Wright was one of a number of highly promising youngsters at the club who would get a chance this year. Said that Connelly was a better player than he'd expected and not just a goal scorer but a brilliant all round player aswell.

Made a few City fans look idiots with comments to their questions, such as would we play total football this year - MA replied that he didn't care as long as we won, if you want total football go to Forest.

Amongst other things, he said no player would leave unless he wanted them too, no one is on get out clauses, and he'd spent all his funds.

Mix ' n ' match I say. Looking at the quality and type of players he's brought in, and having watched a bit of preseason, I reckon we will see more ball on the ground, but you still have to know when to play it long. Of course a 40 yard long ball from Gerrard is a sublime pass but a 40 yard pinpoint accurate long ball from Nalis is a lucky hoof :roll:
