Wenger, Ferguson and Mourinho (and their coaching staff) hardly set the world alight with their exhilarating football skills - and yet they coach the best footballers in this country

Quite successfully

Every club has a goalkeeping coach - the majority of them are not in the Gordon Banks class

lots of goalkeeping coaches actually spend more time with the the youth teams and reserves than the first team keepers but you are never to old to learn new things and it's always good to have a different perspective on things

Why are people beginning to question this appointment, granted he is not the biggest name in football but as previously stated a glittering playing career does not guarentee anybody to be an excellent coach.

Stowell was a decent keeper who will be able to work with the goalkeepers at all levels and IMO will prove to be a valuable addition to the coaching staff.

After Flowers left Adams signed someone that nobody had ever heard of. He left with Adams.
