I can imagine every DD exercise goes through this, its all smoke and mirrors regarding 'verging on collapse'.
Take the other day. My misses car imploded. Well the head gasket had gone hence pretty much a right off (the car was worthless anyways). So I'm in the hunt for a new car, stumble across a Ford Focus which takes my fancy (its Christmas hence the budget is tight. Plus, it’s for the misses
)
So, I do all the stuff I'm supposed to do like start it up, take it for a test drive press all the buttons and see they make a noise, make sure I can see out of the windscreen, that kinda stuff. Then I thought I know, my mate can do an AA inspection on it, seeing as though that’s his job. So he did. Some flashy report later deemed the car a OK but not fantastic value for money. So, we barter a few chickens and a cow later I get a few quid off and drive away with my Focus.
Not that I see the City as a Focus in car terms. More of a Lotus. Reasonable reputation but have the tendency to make it really difficult for themselves!!
