A bad performance today coincided with MM 's non-addendance, he was at the previous 3 games and although non were victories at least the performances were ok. We need MM back (not just for the cash) but to provide leadership we sadly lack.

Well the players should be playing with fear and this should motivate them, every time MM see's them, wouldn't you if you were playing infront of potentially your new boss, that surely puts RK and his players under-pressure.

Why should they be more motivated playing in front of a potential new chairman - who doesn't pick the team, than they are playing in front of their current manager?

Well.. RK should be motivated by potentially a new chairman, who could sack RK, this goes from the top down, with everyone talking and knowing about the takeover business, the players should fear new players coming in which would obviously replace some of them, at the moment i believe our players aren't consistent enough, and aren't playing as well as they can week in week out because there is no real competition, this is due to limited resources and a short number of players. Because we have limited resources at the moment most of our players are from the academy rather then purchased players hence a small squad. If MM is going to come there will be more competition in the side- because obviously there will be new players coming in with the cash he will inject, which is why the players and management should be motivated by MM's appearance's

I think the stories were that one of Saddam Hussein's sons used to torture players from the Iraqi side if they failed to live up to expectations. Oddly, it didn't spur them on to win many World Cups.

And, after the Columbian was murdered for his own goal, the national side was scarcely inspired.

Fear might not be the best motivator for footballers.

It wasn't only MM that was missing. The away following was less than 500 - the least I have seen City take in a long, long while.
