Please be advised that MML services are all to pot for the next three Home games!

The normal two trains an hour from both Nottingham and Derby is reduced to one an hour, trains from stations between Kettering and St Pancras will be taking about an hour longer than usual and Market Harborough will be having no trains at all.

The most I have ever paid is £19 - and that was First Class in both directions. You need to get yourself organised! :icon_wink

Thanks not bad Durham. Usually costs my company over £100 when you include zone 2 return to Canary Wharf and car parking.

I can get return flights abroad for less.

Yeah think an open return is £90 actually. I am flying to Dublin in a few weeks with 3 mates, the total cost of our 4 return flights is less than that.

But you're not comparing like with like.

The flights to Dublin will have had to be booked well in advance, with limited flights available, to get that price. If you didn't buy your tickets well in advance you could be looking at £200 each.

It's the same thing with trains. You can do Leicester to London and back for £12 if you book in advance on the right trains, you only end up paying the top price if you don't book in advance and want to travel at peak times.

And don't for one moment think that the London Branch don't appreciate it. Without people like you and Cate paying top-dollar, however would they be able to offer us such bargains at the weekend?

I agree to a point, although my flights were booked yesterday , less than 2 weeks before we depart. Generally I would expect to book a trip of that nature a little earlier than a day trip to London.

Not safe at all, I was looking forward to ruining your romantic weekend :038:

Anyway Mk recommends 'copper faced jacks' as a quiet little spot to take the mrs for a meal.

That would have gone down well with her, anyway I was hoping you could keep me updated on events at the Walkers when we play Cardiff, just in case I cannot sneak a couple of hours sat in front of Soccer Saturday !

No worries, as long as you return the favour with the Soton game!
