Yousuf has a contract ready to sign, but wants 4 matches off for Ramadan. Given that our previous overseas player could barely manage 4 matches, seems like the best we can hope for!

Should still score big runs. Not sure what his Warwickshire record was last year though.

I think we need two new heavy scoring batters. Mohammed Yousuf might have done for one but while one has to respect his culture/ religion I don't think his requirements could reasonably be met. Frankly we are so weak at the moment that I'm not joking when I suggest that Ben Smith could be drafted in as a player/ coach rather than a batting coach. I think we are leaving things a bit late - its sort of like we will be left with potential recruits who can't get a better deal elsewhere. The trouble is that there is so much over-lapping international & T20 competition these days abroad that its very difficult to attract top players to low key county cricket - thus counties like Yorkshire didn't have an overseas last season. If Taylor had gone to Warks you would have thought we might have got Maddy back as compensation but then if my aunt had....... etc etc.
