Melton Fox

Dancing Queen
The only thing that mildly entertains me when he is on the pitch, is that he looks like a fooking teapot.

Other than that, he is a lazy kunt and I don't want him on that pitch again. Although I will miss chuckling to myself that he really does look like a teapot. Fooking jug eared baffoon

I know its been asked before but... why was it that when Fryatt and Hume missed good chances their names got chanted but when Sylla missed a harder chance he got abuse...keeping in mind this was only 10 minutes in as well.

Probably because for the majority of the game is he a lazy twat, whereas the other two run themselves into the ground for the cause, however I did notice it as well.

Perhaps he just needs to feel wanted! There have been times where has has shown what he can do, but has recieved little encouragement.

I won't argue that he isn't fulfilling his potential though! Come on Momo. I don't hate you, and I don't think deep down anyone does. We are just frustrated because we know you can do better.

It is the duty of every man who pulls on the blue to do there bit for the team. Lets be 'avin yooooou!

As a general point I'd agree but after he's been gone for a bit, the manager has changed and other players have been given a clean slate (Kisnorbo etc.) then I'd think 10 minutes into his home return when missing a difficult chance, while playing out of position, a couple of minutes after other players had missed better chances (and not having done anything wrong before that) he should have been given a better response than the one he got from those sitting around me 'get off Sylla' 'go back to Africa' ' you've been on holiday for a month' 'get him off Kelly' 'Kelly, the last manager got sacked for playing him', 'booo' etc. Doesn't surprise me that he went on to have an average game.

I didnt hear any of that, but if that sort of thing was being aimed at him and Kelly then it is bang out of order, however he does seem very casual in his play, and IMO is the one player at present who doesnt seem to have responded under Kelly.

Probably because he's missed all of the drama! Didn't he go before we even went into the bottom three? Maybe he could have used that kick up the backside. I'm not a big Momo fan although I do think that on his day he can play very well. I'd say it would probably be in the club's best interests for people to give him a couple of games to see if there is any improvement before hounding him out - lets face it it'll only cost more money to get rid and bring someone else in - even if he left on a free transfer and his replacement came to us on one there are still agents fees etc to think about.

It's just like the Gareth Williams situation - a clearly talented, exciting player who looks, and usually plays, like he just couldn't give a feck. Shame. Come on Momo, pull your finger out son!

I think the reason that Sylla was booed when he missed was because of the way that he did it. It was tha lazy way he passed the ball back to the keeper. He didn't really hit the ball with any conviction and he plays most of the rest of the game in the same way.

Last night though he was tracking back and made a couple of very good defensive tackles, for which he got applause. However, whenever he received the ball in attacking situations he never seemed to want to do anything with it. The only run he made was across the field ending with him giving the ball away again. Unfortunately for him, his weaknesses were made even more obvious when he was replaced by Ryan Smith. Smith always did something with the ball, running at players and getting positive passes in or getting a free kick, throw in or corner.

I've grumbled about Sylla on here before, but to be fair he wasn't too bad yesterday, yes he was lazy at times, he did track back to put in a good challenge in the box when they were attacking. IMO he was better than Joey who seemed to be playing in a different game last night!
