They've finally announced it officially:

City will host AS Monaco at King Power Stadium this month in a showpiece friendly building up to the 2013/14 season, after signing the contract with the French Ligue 1 giants today (Tuesday).
The star-studded, seven-time champions of France will visit the home of the Foxes on Saturday 27 July (kick-off 4.15pm) – a fixture that can now be confirmed after contracts between both clubs were finalised.

The match will form the centre-piece of City’s pre-season schedule, as Nigel Pearson’s squad gear up for another push for promotion to the Premier League, after reaching last season’s Championship Play-Offs.

Monaco, managed by former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, are sure to draw plenty of attention this summer, having already embarked on an ambitious recruitment drive following their return to the French top flight.

The signings of highly-coveted Colombian forward Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho and Porto duo Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez have sent shockwaves around Europe, as the club from the principality look to re-establish themselves among the continent’s elite.

And as recently as Friday, Monaco added experienced French duo Eric Abidal and Jeremy Toulalan to a squad rapidly growing in strength.

Leicester City Vice Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said: “We’re extremely proud to welcome a club of the stature and tradition of AS Monaco to King Power Stadium as part of our pre-season preparations. As with the visit of Real Madrid two years ago, we want to give something special to the Leicester City fans and the sporting city of Leicester to celebrate the arrival of the new season.

“The match will be a great curtain-raiser for an extremely important season for our Football Club, where, with the help of our loyal supporters, we will be looking to build on the progress of last year and maintain our pursuit of a place in the Premier League.”

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson said: "I'm sure the Monaco game will be an extremely attractive fixture for our supporters. For the players it forms part of a pre-season programme designed to prepare them for a very important forthcoming season and they too will be looking forward to it."

Tickets for the match are now on sale exclusively to Season Ticket Holders, who will have first choice on available tickets until 5pm on Wednesday 10 July. For clarity, Season Tickets Holders will not be guaranteed their own seats for this game as, at this stage, the Club does not intend to open the Air Asia East Stand.

Tickets will be made available on general sale from 9am on Thursday 11 July.

Has anyone sat in the Fosse Club? What do you get for your extra 7.50?

Is it a dry wank or does Jobber lube up a bit if you ask him nicely?

It's a soapy tit wank, of course. No way they could justify the seven and a half bars if it wasn't

Disappointingly, though, I believe the pickled onion is Morrisons own brand
