I have a question for anybody with motherboard/processor knowledge.
My CMOS battery was on it's last legs, and when I moved my computer the other day (took the power cord out) it brings up a BIOS message saying "CPU has changed...." and gives me the option to press F1 to continue or DEL to reenter BIOS settings, the problem is my keyboard doesn't seem to be being recognised.
The keyboard works, I have tested on another computer. I figure the processor isn't shagged as it boots up to the BIOS post screen, but doesn't get far enough to boot from CD etc, so I figure it can only be the motherboard?
Any ideas? If my CMOS battery is completely dead would this cause this?
I have taken out and put back in all my RAM sticks so I know those are in correctly.
