Anyone else feel that the movement last night was some of the ost impressive from a front pair for some time? I thought we looked extremely decent up front first half - despite the chances missed, we always looked like scoring goals.

Good source said that the lads were absolutely knackered at the end - this bug had really swept through the club.

I thought Hume and Fryatt looked quality upfront!!! Nice to see if one doesnt the score the other one chips in!! Last decent strike partnership we had was Dickov and Deane! :icon_eek:

i thought they were absolutley magnificent last night. really looked hunger and showed a great understanding. im very excited at this partnership at the moment, plus it's going to get better with time.

I wasnt there last night but listened to a lot on the radio. And the only thing i would change in the team at the minute is replace Rab Douglas. Seems a liability to me as it looks as though we need to score more than 1 goal to have any chance of winning games. No clean sheet in 16 games according to the commentary.

we looked better because of the pace as well i think. we didn't dwell on the ball but looked to use it quickly. this makes it easier for the strikers to make runs.

If the midfield dwell on the ball, the strikers have to hold their runs to avoid being offside. this has been a big problem for elvis.

If we keep that up we will score plenty.

i was really impressed with the front two especially when they held the ball up. Also i felt that hume did well as he was playing just behind fryatt, and i thought maybury and stearmen were great interchanging on the right hand side-just a shame we couldnt get three points!

the more hume and fryatt play together the more defences will hate to play against them. especially big, slow, tall, stocky defenders. fryatt runs his arse off and is skillfull with it. hume also gives 100 and i was surprised how many headers he wins for a small guy. it,s also nice to the two lads complementing each other. i think they will be a good partnership for city:icon_bigg

hume was excellent, his little turn in the move for 2nd goal was awesome.
Even when we let goals in i always thought we looked like scoring which is more than could be said for earlier in the season.
In the end Derby dragged us down to their level with their hoofs, which is just how we used to play.

They said only one clean sheet in 16 games. No idea if that's correct or not.

The commitment and energy levels were superb, we played some decent football as well, the change in performance levels have been unbelievable and at last the squad is start to show what we knew they were capable of.

The reaction of the crowd to the team, bearing in mind it was not a great result, is testament to the performance, and also disproves the fickle and / or bonehead claim laid at the crowd. The majority of Leicester fans will be content if they witness a team giving their all and trying to play the right way.

They seem to be playing just like like CL said he wanted the team to play when he took over - with pace, hunger, aggression etc. Above all they play with more belief and confidence. We will need all of this against Leeds on Saturday.

that surprised me to, he can jump quite high!

i thought towards the end we were starting to fall back to the way we used to play under levein (last 15 minutes) apart from that generally we were unlucky and should have killed them off in the first half

Hume rises like a salmon sometimes. Great spring in those boots. :038:
