Neil Shipperley - would you?!?!?

Its looking like he is going to be allowed to leave Palace on a free.

I know he is old, and also probably past his best, but there are a few things worth considering:

• Great Partnership with Connolly
• Can't be as injured as Morris
• Can't be as bad as DeVries

What do you reckon...he would cost nowt and his wages would probably be minimal. Worth it?

Just thought it was something to consider as a backup player given that it would be a free, his wages wouldn't be high, and he has as a partner got 30 goals in a season out of Connolly.

But equally I see all the bad points you have highlighted. Personally I'd be tempted to bring him here just to show MDV how to play off Connolly, and also perhaps for the last 15-20 minutes of the occassional game. As I said, he wouldn't cost much.

At least Shipperley can hold the ball up and can time his jumps to head the ball, unlike some people (coughs MDV). Although saying that the majority of professional strikers can, its just unfortunate we ended up with a cross between Junior Lewis and Ade Akinbiyi.
