This game served up a textbook example of what the rule changes were designed to achieve.

Tamworth should be planning a trip to Spurs, getting probably their only chance for most players to turn out on a PL ground & probably the biggest payday in the clubs history. ...
Agreed - I think a sensible compromise would be that if the two teams are in the same division, the game goes to extra time and penalties.
If teams are in different divisions, however, then if it is a draw at full time - it goes to a replay - thus 'rewarding' the lower division's side for their effort along with a bit of a financial boost too.

Pity it won't happen

Would also incentivise the bigger teams to play a stronger team to try and win it in 90 mins.

One of my favourite goals ever. For when it was, where it was, against who it was... plus, of course, the goal itself.

Sydney Casino sports bar, Liverpool vs Arsenal (I think) was also on.

Supporters of those teams stood and clapped after I had enthusiastically announced my self as not being aligned to either of their teams.

Most probably hadn’t noticed the game going on on the muted side screen.

Always worth watching again. One of my favourite goals ever. For when it was, where it was, against who it was... plus, of course, the goal itself. Huth stands still, ramrod straight, bends his back and - boof! - gives it some. It was a stunner.
****ing love beating Spurs on their patch, with a player that they’d completely turn their nose up at. Wankers.

I was in a very nice Indian restaurant on the south coast, sat next to a friend and work colleague, who happens to be a Spurs fan. He was following it on his phone, as I tried to avoid it, but he was increasingly getting frustrated by their inability to break us down and then went all ashen faced when we scored. I didn't rub it in, just sat there quietly, as his annoyance meant I didn't need to wind him up, he was doing that all by himself.

Derby lost to Orient on penalties last night. Callum Elder was the only one to miss a penalty.

He lived at the top of his profession while being a top-tier clungehound, and died owing a packet to the taxman.

Svennis knew how to live life, and should be a lesson to us all.
