Iv'e been reading 'John Hutchinson's long-running feature on Leicester City's managers' on the club web-site and as the stories are fairly short and only give the very basics, they do bring back so many memories.

Anyway, having just read the Martin Allen tale (came in, changed the flowers, loads of players, played half-a-dozen games, left), it doesn't tell me anything we didn't know. Yes there was instability and turmoil but that had been around for a while.

What I wan't to know is what did cause Allen to go so soon? Was it having a dump in a car? Was it just friction somewhere? Does anyone actually know what the reason was - and can it be told?
