Noticed this when I read that. Ashley Chambers turned up at a Thursday night kick about at Rawlins AstroTurf a few years ago, I think he would have been playing for Dagenham or York at the time. I hadn’t noticed he was playing for the other side when I (honestly) skinned him and stuck one in the top corner. A moment later I thought I recognised him and said ‘Ashley Chambers?’

He looked really chuffed and we shook hands and had a laugh. I felt great about skinning a semi pro footballer until I realised that he didn’t even break into a jog for the rest of the game. He would have been on his summer break, I guess he knew the lad that organised the game and came down to see his mates.
