I am a little. These days you could have a whole section in WH Smith labelled Idiots Doing Idiot Things Because They’re Idiots, comprised entirely of volumes of collated tabloid articles about shitbrained footballers going out of their way to demonstrate their entitled ****wittery, and our lives have been enriched in this way only because those involved incriminate themselves, seemingly on purpose, with alarming frequency.

I wonder what this says about professional footballers. Are those we read about so thick that every stupid thing they do is automatically uploaded to the internet within minutes, or is this just the tip of the iceberg? Is the entire world at the mercy of marauding empty-headed millionaires and their bizarre hobbies of spreading deadly viruses, crashing their cars into people’s gardens, and making out-of-focus racist pornography?

Still, I’m sure they’ll all be fined 15 minutes’ wages, that’ll sort ‘em out.
