With all the opinions and abuse being aired about who should, or should not, be our next manager and why, I thought it would be interesting to know a little more about what priorities we think the board should be assessing potential managers against when selecting our next leader. Mine are:

1. Ability to achieve long term success (Premiership stability).
2. Ability to win games (short term).
3. Tactical understanding.
4. Track record.
5. Style of Football.
6. Age / Experience.
7. Image (Thoughtful v Enthusiastic).

Please feel free to add any more.

Ability to bring young players through

Ability to spot potential talent both in the lower leagues and abroad

Someone who knows how to control big time charlie ex-arsenal defenders and can restore some discipline back into the players

someone that actually knows how to play a game of football and win

Somebody that'll be first in the queue when Birch next appeals for little helpers to do the car park weeding for him
