Remember how the fans (me included) used to slag off most of Taylor's signings but who would you prefer now - the present load of crap or say Cresswell and Akinibyi up front - makes you think eh?

yep. Just about to post a thread about Cresswell scoring a hatrick today, and why the hell did we ever let him go? But there's no point looking back, as CL is surely gonna bring in who he thinks will score and shoot us up the table. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!

Strange, but sad, that we've not had a striker knocking in the goals regularly for ages now.

Loads of players like Akinbiye & Cresswell score loads for other teams they play for but not us. Even Connelly can't hit a barn door nowadays.

Big Trev scores today, Even Ellison scored for Chester the other day. I know they are playing in lower leagues but still, we need to find a way for a Leicester striker to score week in week out.

Can we get bigger goals at the Walkers?

Can I just take this opportunity to remind people that both Akinbiyi and Cresswell were moved on when we were a premiership team and because they had proved they were nowhere near good enough.

Why harp on about the fact they are scoring, no I would not like either back, what I would like to see is our manager bring somebody in who will help Connolly and form a decent partnership.

What will happen if Blake scores - everyone clamouring for his return.

I don't particually want previous players back (certainly not Blake), it's just a little galling when former players are scoring every week when we have difficulty.

If we can get a co-striker to work with Connelly things could be fine.
Maybe.

Sorry, I'm just a little pessimistic at the mo.

I thought Cresswell was alright, just used to get the ball stuck in between his feet alot or somehow fall over it. He was certainly a lively.

Half decent player too.

I was surprised when Cresswell was allowed to leave. He always looked good in the few opportunities he was given. I even wanted Akinbiyi to stay :? I wish he had done, he's better than this "forward line" that we have got. He's playing out of his skin at Stoke, like he did for us. All he needed was a bit of confidence and a point in the right direction , like Connolly needs IMO. Yeah he works out of his skin and puts 110% in, but he needs to be hitting the target (scoring instead of hitting the woodwork).
