It's only reports on three counties radio, doesn't mean anything yet.

Confirmed on their 12.30 news bulletin

So where do we go from here folks????

Please god NO to Holloway

Unless the board have got other 'good' options surely now we must back Kelly to the end of the season and maybe bring somebody in to help him out. This then gives us more time to look where we are and line the new manager up for a summer move.

Jim Smith to reside next to RK and MS until the end of the season, when we approach Newell again....

It's not a bad call Alex, Jim has said he might be back in football soon after rejecting QPR and not sure if it was on here, but didn't he have a meeting with the board not long after CL went? Could have been the 'plan B'.

Plaese God not Jim Smith, have we really sank that low.
Newell will no doubt sign a new contract with Luton now and that will make the compo well out of our Reach. We have dithered for far too long and lost our Man.:icon_roll

Thirded.

So who have benefitted from our current search for a manager:

Cotterill - did he receive an improved contract offer from Burnley?

Newell - presumably he also received an improved contract offer?

QPR - got rid of Holloway

Blackwell - aiming for a new contract at Leeds?

he said on SSN that it was not a case of turning us down and that he wanted to stay at luton, wait till after derby match if we aint got a new manager, newell will be on his way

Why approach Newell again? Lost his chance surely.

I just hope it isn't panic stations now at the club, the amount of people that have turned us down...

It's not going to be Jim Smith:

The return of Jim Smith?

Jim Smith was spotted at the Portsmouth Reserves game against Arsenal last night. Although the photographers were too busy getting pictures of Theo Walcott (although I may be biased, I thought he was poor!)

Jim Smith, currently linked with a move to Oxford, as well as a possible reunion with Harry Redknapp
