NEXT SEASON.

Apart from a miracle or disaster it seems we will be playing championship football next season, which brings me to ask what are your expectations for the 05-06 season.
Should we expect automatic promotion, or do you think that puts the manager and team under unfair pressure. Should the play-offs be our realistic goal, or are we on the 1st step of CL plan and another year rebuilding for a future long term go in the premier league.

Given what I've seen so far CL has it within his grasp to turn the club into a pretty useful side.

I think we'll see a serious spring clean close season and as he has stated a leaner and younger squad next season.

As Drummin says it's impossible to say until we see who he brings in but I would expect he'll have a damn good go at winning the thing. Something Micky Adams obviously didn't want to do never mind how many chances he was given.

I hope the fans don't get on CL back if we make a slow start next season.
This could be a major setback if the fans don't show patience.We have a manager who imo is going to point us in the right direction, but if the " fickle boneheads " have their way then i fear we will become the new Sheff Wed. I still feel that CL is having his honeymoon period with us and the test will come for him and us next season .

I think his honeymoon period is over and we are going to go through a rather rough period for most of this season. We wont get relegated, nothing as bad as that but we are not going to climb the table and achieve a play of place and like you say branyfox, I also hope the boo boys dont start. We just dont need it

obviously i ideally want us to get back into the premiership but i wont be gutted if we dont provided we have a really good go at it and show passion and hunger to win - i want to feel proud of my team more than anything else

25 out of 27 expects us to at least reach the play-offs next season .NO PRESSURE THEN. So much for giving CL time. :smt017

I will be exstatic if we finish top 6, but I think it will be tough. I can see us being a mid-table side again next season, and then push up in 2 seasons time, a bit like Derby have done. I will be happy with this, as Burley has finally got the Sheep to start playing well, and he has signed some great players in Reich, Idiakez, Rasiak, Bisgaard etc. Hopefully we can continue signing players frmo the SPL and get promoted in a couple of seasons.

i'd love to see us in the top two, but don't let your heart rule your head like the majority did by expecting automatic promo this season...

don't forget we're still in the bottom quarter of a very mediocre division ffs

that said we may scrape into the play offs with a bit of luck...
