With only two days between the end of this Prediction League season and the start of the next, I'm going to have a very limited time to sort out the make-up of the new divisions so I want to make a start now.
One of the major minus points this season has been the number of 'dead rubbers', where opponents have just failed to turn up, particularly in the lower divisions. I'm going to take drastic action to combat this. If a team has missed eight or more games this season, I am asking their managers to let me know if they want to be included next season - if I hear nothing, they will be left out - please let me know no later than next Monday, 20th December.
Those other people that have missed fewer weeks, I would ask to try a little bit harder to get your predictions in every week. There's little more frustrating than to narrowly beat your opponent in a hard struggle of a game, only then to find that your closest league opponents got the same points reward unopposed.
Don't forget that you can 'Predict-in-Advance' - if you know you are going to be away, PM me your dates and I will send you the relevant lists of fixtures so you can complete them before you go.
I would also suggest that those who miss out because they forget at the last moment should consider finding time at the start of the week to submit their predictions.
Now is also the time that any new teams should take a step forward and make themselves known, either in this thread or via PM - please let me know no later than next Monday, 20th December.
Let's see if we can make this competition head-to-head in every game.
