I would love to listen in, but I've just found a spot of wet paint and I want to sit and watch it dry for a bit

Is there a link or is commentary and video feed only available to inner circle subscribers?

I don't have the technology available right now - but I am happy to do a full 'match report' once the drying event has been completed, if that would be of any help ?

Can you provide some build up to the event too?

Type of paint, colour, cost. I'm also interested to know if the final colour tone is actually the same as the colour of the swatch. All too often I've paid out big bucks just to be disappointed once the drying began. One more ochre that dries a rusty spoon colour and I think I'll choke.

I'm not the best at judging colours, but I would suggest that it is a nice shade of Misty Buff - and it's almost certainly a matt emulsion finish

I'm afraid that I stumbled upon this particular patch of wet paint by accident, so I cannot therefore comment about its appearance in realtion to any form of original colour chart, or even to the paint on the tin itself

I can comment, however, on the fact that it has dried exceptionally quickly in this warm weather. The most interesting observation is that a small area in the top right hand corner took much longer to dry than that rest of the area. I have a strong suspicion that this is due to the fact that it wasn't prepared to the same standard as the rest of the painted area - but it could be due to the fact that there may be an underlying damp problem within this particular location. It did, however, provoke some considerable discussion (as well as some amusement) amongst the small crowd of people that had gathered to watch the paint drying extravaganza

a nice oak fuddle would be lovely

There could be a number of reasons for damp as a man of your advanaced years will well know. However I can recommended an excellent company to carry out a full strutural survey for a reasaonable fee.

If it's that 'mincing' Taffy Chung again, you can forget it

He needs the work, he can’t get any planning applications through.

He's a disaster area, believe me

He recently handled an erection for Highland Fox, and ended up shafting him good and proper

To be avoided at all costs

are you the cause of the wetness?

I suspect that the plaster is sucking the moisture out of the paint in the rapidly drying area. Should have prepared the wall with a pva mix.

Basics.

Lets hope that Nigel Pearson is applying the PVA right now and that come the start of the season we aren't sucked dry.

I think HF refused to suck ‘Mincing’ Taffy Chung dry, that was when the poor builders problems started.

How unusual, somebody brings a piece of info, which they believe others might find of use, to the forum and he gets shot down.

Mind your own business, big nose. :icon_roll

I jest. Of course, you're right. Everyone involved should be thoroughly ashamed. Childish, mindless, bullying.

Did he say anything interesting? Is he funny like Hollowords?

I'm sure that 4-4-2 took it in the spirit intended, as he (?) is a decent sort, rather than a hysterical queen who would fly off in a rage at such a completely innocuous jest

But please do feel free to complain, if you so wish
