He just basically said that he didnt think he was pulling his weight in the last game and there were a few times he was found wanting and there have been a few times this season where his performances have not been to the required standard. Therefore, CL said that this opens the door for possible replacements etc!

CL is wrong for publicly criticising Nissa.
I believe that if a manager has a problem with a players attitude/performance whatever, this should be dealt privately i.e. call him into his office and have a word, show him the video of the Burnley game and show him where he feels Nissa could have done better.
It has not helped anyone by doing it the way CL has.

Probably right in what he says, but he should not have made it public (especially as he is playing him out of position anyway).

A sign of a manager under pressure.

I can't help thinking there is a bit more to this. CL has never spoken out of turn about his players before (Well not since he has been at Leicester anyway). Maybe they had a few choice words to each other after the Burnley game??

I have never been a big fan of putting your own players down, particulalry if you are a manager and after all Nissa is being played in a position that really does not suit him or his style of play. He does not pose any attacking qualities and if he comes up against a speedy, skillful winger he is always going to struggle.

I think CL has to take some of the rap for Nissa's poor performances in recent games. He, after all, is the one who has played him out of position.

We do need a proper left back as apposed to a left sided central defender and CL has had the money to buy one, but ended up with Gilbert! All of my Plymouth mates love the fact we bought him as they rate him as a pile of S**T.

I still have faith in CL and the squad he is assembling is of the right calibre, but he is yet to find the winning formula with the palyers he has. Lets try a few of the younger, hungrier guys for a change, because the older ones aren't coming up to scratch IMO.

Failing that we will have to stick with the HOOF and hope by some miracle we will eventually score a goal again!! God I am depressed :frown: :frown:

 :icon_eek: a poll! by jessel?? :icon_eek:  :icon_roll ;)
anyway no manager should openly slag off a player to the media, especially when he is played out of position
