That's because there isn't many.

Heading in to town as you know is in the opposite direction and the majority of the bars towards the ground will be home fans only. I'd probably suggest heading down to the Waterfront area (which is only 5 mins out of the way) where there is about 5 bars. You should be far enough from the ground to have no worries of getting in to a bar which will be mainly forest fans. If the weather is nice, it'll be full of scantily clad females :icon_wink

If you are arriving very early, then i'd head into town and go somewhere like The Bell on Market Square or Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem on Maid Marian Way.

The train station is currently having major refurbishment work as well as some structural changes to accommodate the extension to the tram lines, so where you would normally exit the station is no longer the case. I believe the entrance has been temporarily located to Station Street, opposite the Capital One building. I'm not sure if the entrance on Queens Rd is accessible at the minute.

Ah right! Thanks for the information, I go Nottingham beer festival so know a few from when we go to that but thats useful.

There are plenty of decent pubs in Nottingham but the trip is definitely not one of them, ok for a sightseer but so overrated. I'd probably go to the Roundhouse and the Salutation if I was going into the city centre but I plan on going for a coffee in west bridgford this time.

There are plenty of decent pubs within the county, but they are few and far between within the city centre area. I was actually thinking of the Sal when I wrote the Trip for some bizarre reason. Never been in The Roundhouse, it's always looked destitute whenever I've been close by. I quite like the bar inside Browns restaurant as well as the bar in the Living Room. Neither suitable really for footy boozing.

I can always find decent pubs in the city, helps that I lived in the meadows/bridgford for 5 years.

Is the Notts County bar not opening for away fans? Always decent in there.

Hi there, yes it is.
We are open this Saturday from 9:30 until kick off for only the away fans.
We offer a great bar facility, food and large screen tv's showing sky sports.
It is just over 5 minute walk from the Forest ground.

Hope to see you's in there, and good luck for Saturday

Super, are you open for post match celebrations ;)

I have no doubt at all that you are correct.

Be assured I shall be on here sometime over the weekend to take my punishment should I be wrong.

Will be out most of day Saturday celebrating / commisserating and travelling to Northampton Sunday morning for cricket so dunno when exactly but I daresay you can wait :069:

Just getting ready for the trip over, funnily enough im not nervous for this one as I think Forest will smash us and Bolton will smash Pool.

Just going for the free t-shirt.
