Nottinghamshire won the toss and elected to bat in the two day game against Leicestershire at Grace Road and closed their innings on 254 for the loss of 7 wickets. Leicestershire bowler Ryan Cummings took 4 wickets at a cost of 41 Runs.
All of the bowlers had lengthy spells, the opening bowling partnership of Malik and Cummings looked particularly impressive and their swing and seam movement caused the early Nottinghamshire batsman problems against the new ball.
Rowe coming on as first change was also impressive taking a wicket along with some excellent spin bowling from Claude Henderson who took 1-35 they were also well supported by Harry Gurney and Jigar Naik both who were wicket less but produced good spells of bowling.
Leicestershire Opening batsman Tom New and Ed Foster started well reaching 34 before the fall of the first wicket when Foster was out for 10. HD Ackerman then joined New at the crease.
