Leeds United 1-1 Leicester City
26 December 2008

City captain Matt Oakley led by example to pip regular award winner Aleksandar Tunchev to the man of the match against Leeds United in Simon Grayson's first game in charge at Elland Road. Oakley was the City scorer and his goal looked to be sending City to another victory but for a late Snodgrass equaliser. Despite this, Aleksandar Tunchev still managed to claim second place narrowly behind Oakley, with impressive loanee Mark Davies finishing third.

David Martin picked up his third consecutive flop of the match after his performance failed to convince the fans that he is the right man between the sticks. Out of form winger Lloyd Dyer and left back Bruno Berner were the others voted in the bottom three.
