I've just realised how depressing the next edition might be, because IIRC the last edition ended at the point T****r took charge.

At least our history up until that point is frozen in time in that book, if you ever want to forget the last 7 years.

Not quite - the second edition included the whole of the first season of the Taylor debacle. The 'Stop Press' included our two new players - Ian Walker and Dennis Wise.

You don't have too long to wait for the next edition now - it's due to be published about this time next year and hopefully it will be able to celebrate a promotion that we never wanted to be in a position to wish for.

At a conservative evaluation, this probably gives the book roughly the same value as a 1st folio Shakespeare...
