O'Grady On The Move

Chris O'GradyCity striker Chris O'Grady has joined Rushden & Diamonds on loan until the end of the year.

The 19-year-old frontman has been a regular in City's reserve set up for the last three seasons, and arrives at Nene Park in search of first team football at League Two level.

O'Grady spent a three-month period on loan with Notts County last season, making 10 appearances.

The striker was part of the City side that recently went down 2-0 in a friendly against Rushden, and scored from the penalty spot when the Foxes faced Inter Milan last month.

O'Grady's loan deal will expire on December 31 2005.

It will be good experience for him, hopefully he will get a regular place in the first team and come back a better player. I hope he does well! :038:

It is also a bit of a message to Tommy Wright. ;)

Considering Levein had said that O'Grady would be making a few first team appearances this season, but has now sent him out on loan, I'm guessing Levein has realised O'Grady isn't good enough, or at least isn't as good as he thought yet.

and it takes some cost of the wage budget for a period as Hamill arrives !

Timeframe is same as Elvis loan to us, which is also relevant

O'Grady can't be on more than a Mars Bar and a packet of crisps a week.:icon_eek:
