went to the game today and have returned in one of the most depressed states of mind ever.

1) we have two strikers
2)none of which actually play upfront, instead decide to play as wingers for the whole fuking game (sorry)
3)none of which could hit a cows arse with a banjo
4)both are incompitent no hopers having an easy ride
5)not sure exactly but conners hasnt scored in around 32 of our games this season, what bollox
6)i and many others are realising the threat of relegation to league 1. the worst season in leicesters history may just be happening.

sorry this isnt the greatest post but you understand that its hard to write well when all you can concentrate on is drinking yourself into a stuper.

I wasnt at the game but listen to the majority on the radio and it did sound as though we were definitely the better team but again comes down to taking your chances.

I feel now is the time to drop Connolly and play either Tommy Wright or maybe Louis Dodds who seems to be banging them in at the minute. I dont think we should drop De Vries as we definitely need a target guy up there.

It must have been as frustrating for the players as well as the fans today

thats fine get conners out but De Vries certainly isnt a target man, i actually cant remember the guy winning a header today and we had alot of crosses.

ive never judged a player so quickly before but i really dont think he's good enough

cant remeber the forest center back but the black guy at the back took the piss out of De Vries and this is the worst team at defending corners in the country.

Spoke to my Brother who went and he said we didn't actually 'Play' that badly but our finishing is woeful and MDV and particulary Connolly spend far too much time out on the Wings.
Unless we can change the Striking options he reckons we'd be better off with 4-5-1 with Hughes and Williams supporting the one man up front.Maybe when he's fit Dublin will be tried up front again...

Again, I feel the need to add perspective here, We played Forest off the park today and got nothing. We are playing the best football we have in ages but things arent going for us. If we continue to play like this we will give someone a stuffing in the next 3 or 4 games and build a good run.

I am going for 28 points from the remaining 12 games and MDV to finish the clubs top scorer.

im afraid it will be too late then. not good enough. MDV has had about three shots in total in every game hes played in.

i think Gillespie, Tiatto and Kenton were todays men of the match, hard to choose between them.

MDV did well and maybe could have done better with the shot in the 2nd minute but i thought he looked lively in the 1st half.

Connolly didnt do much again but i think the problem lies with the service, we get in this great crosses via tiatto or gillespie yet we have someone who cant head the ball well and someone who is 5 ft minus everything.

the midfield were solid and got some excellent crosses in, williams and gillespie had some great shots with nallis having a few chances just not making them work. the defence were solid and everyone did well, shame to see maybury go off i think he has been great for us since arriving. we were unlucky it just wasnt our day. we played the trees off the park its a real shame we lost. hopefully we will do ok away at burnley and build up a run. relegation talk is a load of crap!

You've got to be realistic here as we are only 4 points off of the relegation zone I think and it is a definite possibility. We've got to get our acts together and stop dreaming of FA cup glory as much as I would love it to happen we need to maintain and build upon our performances in the league. I thought we totally outplayed F*rest today and the only thing we lack is a golascorer that can get on to De Vries' flick ons as Connolly is the worst pile of **** I've seen. He spend so much time on the wing what's the point in him playing up front if he wants to play on the wing then let him. Walker easily MOTM today and I wouldn't put him at fault for their goal just the slack defending.

We certainly out played them. IMO we had them pegged back so well that for 80% of the match, everyone of their players was in the penalty box and every time we crossed the ball in, it was chaos. We needed to stand off more, draw their players out of the box and then cross the ball in.
MDV missed more opertunities than I care to remember. he did not use his strength very well, missed loads of headers and played for fouls rather than for the ball. I was very dissapointed with him.

it seems that everyone understands that our midfield was excellent at times. and the service was excellent despite what one or two may think. so if that leaves our lackluster attack to do their job and im afraid they never will. relegation is a possibility.

How many did dickov score for us each season 9 or 10? not exactly prolififc connoly provides more to the team links up well brings others into the game, leicester just are not getting the rub of the green

Connolly hacked pitifully at one chance, and it sliced out of play, twenty yards from the goal. The ref gave a corner - probably didn't believe any player could be that shite. It wasn't the only time, either

it's all down to a lack of quality - it's nothing to do with luck

Well if you cannot get a proven goalscorer then as Webbie put it (maybe paraphrased) "form is fleeting, but class is permanent", get somebody in who is red hot as this guy is (15 in the last 9 10 in the 8 before the last game).

He has some pedigree, we keep until then end of the season and if he proves useless, sell him on. ;-) :mrgreen:

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. One of my main criticisms of MA is that he stuck to the same thing even if it stopped working. I hope CL does not fall into the same trap. ;-) :mrgreen:
