It's the last day to apply for them today.

Has anyone bothered? I feel I'd like to go to something but it's all quite expensive and the system seems rubbish in that I don't think you can put down your choices in order of preference. You run the risk of being allocated, and made to pay for, a load of tickets.

I haven't bothered. I figure I'll get a better view on the tele.

I thought about it, but it was the risk of being allocated a load of tickets (as you have said) that put me off.

My lad's put in for tickets for about 5 events.

Look's at it as a "once in a lifetime experience" rather than the apathetic attitude of many cynical posters on here!

I couldnt run the risk of being allocated a load of tickets that I couldnt afford :icon_roll

Well I have that feeling too really. Mind you I'm in that minority of people who went to the Millenium dome in 2000 and admits to having a good day out with the kids.



I can't bring myself to apply for football at the Ricoh!

I've applied for the football quarters, semis and final at Wembley. I would have applied for some of the athletics but we're on holiday for the qualifiers and I can't/won't afford the finals.

I was going to apply for some of the football at Sid James park but they've totally overpriced it for the standard you get to watch. If you happen to have about 10 sons/daughters under 6 then it may be worth the cost.

Go the ramp-up event(s). I am waiting for the Basketball tournament's tickets to go on sale. Same applies to the velodrome. Problem is the Olympic Stadium's event is British Student Athletic Championship I think.

The latest announcement said that monies would be taken between 10th May and 10th June and that notification of successful applications will be sent by 24 June.
