I missed this match because I was in Liverpool for the weekend. Went to Everton v Man U instead, Man U were top but Everton won 5-0.

I was at that one. 4-0 to city at half time, and i think Lineker scored an hat trick in that game

I was there for that one. If Schmeichel had have been sent off in the first 10 minutes for that tackle on Speedie, we'd have won :icon_wink

Another in the League cup. At least we have some better memories of the competition at Hillsborough.

I went to that game: was at college at Leeds at the time, but wasn't au fait with the trains - managed to miss the one I wanted, but though Doncaster didn't look too far from Sheffield on the train map! Managed to get there after about half an hour, and we were only 1-0 down!

Still saw seven goals... Sheff Wed fans were chanting 'We want 10. we want 10', we anaswered with 'We want one! We want one!'. Hapy days...

Bart Williams & Waddle were class that day.

Amazing to think we lost 7-1 twice in the same season - and we had a very good side!
